If you want to work with a professional Musical Director in one of our pit bands, then NYMT is the place for you. 

Many of the opportunities we offer musicians are available only by coming to one of our Audition Workshop days. Find out more below.

Audition Workshop

Our musicians' audition workshop is split into two sessions. You will take part in a group ensemble music session, followed by an opportunity to play your own piece(s) individually (up to 10 minutes). At the end of the session is a Q&A with the Musical Director.
 
Once you sign up to an audition workshop, we'll send you all the information you need to prepare. After the audition workshop, you may be invited to join a course or project. 
 
This workshop has a fee of £25 and offers a half day of work with our industry professionals.

This year's auditions have now closed. Our next audition workshops will be announced after the summer of 2025.

FEES

NYMT fees vary from course to course, project to project. We work hard to maintain fees at affordable levels. We never want finances to be a barrier. We provide our Young Company Members with a fundraising guide and we offer various bursaries at a range of levels.
