WHY SUPPORT US?
The National Youth Music Theatre is a small arts charity with no core funding and relies upon participants’ fees, ticket sales from productions and income generated through fundraising.
Established in 1976, the National Youth Music Theatre represents the very best in work with young people through musical theatre. For over forty years it has enabled young people across the UK to develop both their creative and personal potential, leading Andrew Lloyd Webber to dub it ‘the best youth music theatre in the world’.
NYMT’s developing Workshop Programme in schools and colleges is helping to broaden the company’s existing demographic by engaging young people from less advantaged backgrounds.

All of the young people who take part in NYMT’s activities testify to its benefits, describing it as a ‘life-changing’ experience. Not only do they extend their skills within the main disciplines of musical theatre (acting, singing and dance), they also develop key learning and life skills: the ability to work as part of a team, improved communication skills, increased confidence and growing self-esteem.

JOIN NYMT FRIENDS
A message from Jasper Britton, our Chairman of The Friends...
Please become a FRIEND of NYMT and help support the bursary scheme and annual workshop programmes.
We work tirelessly to attract a diverse range of young people. Many are not able to meet the full cost of the NYMT experience and we want to be able to ensure that the NYMT never has to turn away a promising talent. An annual NYMT Friends Membership of £30 will make a real difference and you can join so easily by clicking here. Like all good Friends we in return will invite you to events such as the annual Friends’ drinks and keep you posted with all the latest news.
Please take a moment to consider the difference you can make by joining us. THANK YOU!
