The NYMT Young Readers Panel

Meets once a quarter to read and review submissions from writers, led by our Head of New Work. In 2024 for the first time, the Panel were instrumental in selecting our current works in development Lightning Boy by Charlie Turner and Liv Warden, Stagshaw Fayre by Kitty Morgan, and The Unstoppable Letty Pegg by Helen Arney and James Hughes.  
We talk about specific submissions as well as the wider picture of new musicals in the UK and beyond, and being part of the panel is ideal for any young people interested in directing, theatre history or who might be interested in writing a musical themselves.
