NYMT is back on the road again, travelling the length and breadth of the country to recruit our new 2024 Company.
We’re looking to meet young musicians, actors and actor musicians, as well as budding young directors, choreographers, musical directors, designers, makers and technicians to work on our 2024 theatre and community projects. Whether you’ve had lots of experience or none at all, we would be very happy to meet you.

Stage Performers
Our stage performers are for actors and actor musicians who will work with some of the UK's leading musical theatre directors, choreographers, and musical directors on professional-level productions of new and established repertoire.
Our Audition Workshops, held at centres throughout the UK, take the form of a day-long workshop led by our industry professionals in acting, singing and movement.

The NYMT Creative & Technical Mentoring Scheme offers places to Assistant Directors, Choreographers, Musical Directors, Designers, Stage Managers, Technicians and Wardrobe Supervisors. We can offer such opportunities to those aiming to work professionally in the performing arts who have recently graduated from – or are about to complete courses at – university, drama school, college, conservatoire, or other higher education institutions.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the UK’s leading artistic practitioners.

NYMT is committed to offering the best value-for-money experiences, training and opportunities for all our company members. We pride ourselves on offering high-quality accommodation, rehearsal facilities, catering, pastoral care, production values and opportunities to work with leading industry creatives. While fees vary depending on course duration and accommodation needs, below is a guide of what to expect for our 2024 season. We provide all participants with a useful fundraising guide, full of tips from some of our alumni, and our Bursary Fund helps NYMT to remain open to everyone, irrespective of financial circumstances.
Course fees can be broken down into instalments, and longer payment plans across the year can be agreed.
Performer
£1,895 – includes training, pastoral care, full-board accommodation for two rehearsal weeks, and one week's bed and breakfast during the summer season production run. Other performance opportunities are sometimes offered throughout the year at no additional charge.
Musician
£1,250 – includes training, pastoral care, and full board accommodation for one rehearsal week, and one week's bed and breakfast during the summer season production run. Other performance opportunities are sometimes offered throughout the year at no additional charge.
Creative & Technical Mentoring Scheme
£1,250 – includes mentoring and full board accommodation for two rehearsal weeks, and one week's bed and breakfast during the summer season production run.
Easter & Summer Skills Courses
£700 - includes training, pastoral care and full board accommodation for 5 days.
Course fees are payable in instalments, and we provide help for all participants on how to raise funds for themselves. We will send you a specially written guide that is packed with great ideas. We would encourage all participants to undertake fundraising activities for themselves and others.
