A Tribute to Cole Porter
Founded in 1976, the National Youth Music Theatre has performed in 200 venues throughout the UK, from Glyndebourne and the National Theatre to the Royal Opera House, Shakespeare’s Globe and at eight West End theatres. Of their countless productions, over 50 have been new music theatre works.
The National Youth Music Theatre returns to the studio at The Other Palace for the third in their series of NYMT Platform concerts showcasing outstanding young talent and new musical theatre writing. This programme features fresh interpretations of Cole Porter classics in new arrangements by some of the UK’s leading musical theatre composers.
“The NYMT is a major incubator of new performing talent but also a commissioner of new writing that pays serious dividends.” Mark Shenton [The Stage]
“In its illustrious history… it is difficult to imagine that the National Youth Music Theatre has ever been on better form.” Richard Vergette [British Theatre Guide]
